With over 20 years of experience in statistical analyses—specifically forensic data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling, we are well-equipped to explore the use of data mining in predicting, understanding, and determining individual and group behaviors.

Recently, we have been empowered by our success in creating a Violence Indicator System for the South Carolina prison agency. The tool is based on other models that have been successful in decreasing violence in other state prisons by using data regarding evolving factors in inmates' lives that may lead to an increased chance of them lashing out in anger or frustration. Between the implementation of our system and mid-December of 2020, instances of assault of any kind have decreased by 17% across South Carolina prisons.
